Creating, for me, is how I turn lived moments into quiet poems.
I like finding flecks of light gathering dust in the corners of the everyday — and writing them down in the most honest way I can. Sometimes, it's not me holding the pen, but the elephant in my chest, charging ahead with no warning. Under the glare of harsh sunlight, I can barely keep my eyes open. So, a magenta trash bag, a snow-covered fire hydrant, the steam rising from a breakfast stall, the wind pressing into my face on a summer night, the distant dog’s barks, the glint of my mother’s jade pendant — they all become punctuations in the poetry.
